unzip in desired directory on server
set permissions for files and thumbnails dir ...
```
 sudo chmod a=rwx thumbnails files
```

Many tested uploaders did not work, have no documentation or simply work only because of specific server conditions given (which are not stated of course). jQuery File Upload is the progress uploader I found so far that really works!
