Construction Industry - DrawMGT is a document and task management system designed especially for the heavy construction and tunnelling industries. It supports engineering classification and automates many construction specific workflows and procedures.
Robust and Scalable - Capable of managing tens of thousands of documents and many hundreds of users. DrawMGT systems have been in productive use by clients for over five years.
Web Based - DrawMGT can be used from any personal computer without installing any additional software. A high powered computer is not necessary, the only requirement is a web browser. DrawMGT has been productively used from Internet cafes and remote job sites.
Easy to Use - DrawMGT is easy to use and makes use of construction terminology and procedures that engineers already know. DrawMGT has been designed to be usable without training, a critical factor when deploying DrawMGT on a large project, with multiple organizations at multiple locations.
Project Organization - Documents are organized based on the project structure of contracts, groups, suppliers, etc. User authorities are likewise assigned, via roles, based on the project structure. Project authorities can be delegated to clerical staff to allowing them to perform operations on behalf of others.
Engineering Classification - All documents and tasks managed by DrawMGT can be assigned engineering classification tags (work flow, location, alignment, chainage, etc.). This enables engineers to locate all documentation and tasks associated with a particular issue, regardless of the source. Smart defaults can be automatically applied based on the document's place in the project hierarchy.
Drawing Codes -DrawMGT can be configured to understand your project's, and your suppliers', document codes, and automatically assign engineering classification tags to your documents. DrawMGT automatically enforces your documentation quality standards, ensuring that all document codes are correctly formatted and all files are correctly named.
Document Types - Support for all types of documents, including MS Word documents, spreadsheets, CAD drawings, PDF files, digital photographs, etc.
Document Workflow and Revision Management - DrawMGT manages the workflows associated with producing, updating, approving and distributing both internally produced documents as well as documents received from suppliers. Drawing submittals are fully automated, including the automatic generation of cover letters and drawing lists.
Task Management - DrawMGT manages tasks, which can be assigned, and searched for, using engineering classification tags. Supporting documentation can be linked to tasks. Users can 'subscribe' to tasks and are informed by email when status updates occur.
Data Import and Export - Bulk data can easily be loaded into DrawMGT, making it quick and efficient to deploy DrawMGT after a project has started. All project documents and data can be exported, including all the document and task metadata.
Multi-Language - English and German version are currently available. A French version is planned.
Secure - All DrawMGT users are assigned roles based on the project structure, which determines the operations they may perform and the document they may access. All system activities are logged in a comprehensive audit trail.
Frequent Updates and Improvements - DrawMGT is being actively developed. New features, based on customer feedback, are constantly being added to the system.
